I.T Support Specialist

Serve as the strategic interface with assigned business units or functional area for the purpose of business technology strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management, relationship management and technical support.

  • Provide considerate and courteous support to customers at all times.
  • Assist users with equipment, network and software questions over the phone, via email or in person.
  • Manages stakeholders' perceptions with IT services. Ensures service level targets are met.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders.
  • Translate conceptual business requirements into functional requirements for project execution
  • Partner with business leadership and other key stakeholders to define opportunities and identify and prioritize projects based on predefined criteria (e.g. return on investment, productivity, compliance).
  • Enable the business to achieve their objectives through the effective use of technology.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of solution roadmaps and to ensure successful introductions across the organization and with customers. Working with other IT resources on development of solutions.
  • Works to understand any pain points within the business area to facilitate problem solving and issue escalation. Including communication of status and resolution.
  • Works with appropriate stakeholders to proactively identify and evaluate risks associated with business decisions.
  • Install hardware and software on desktop systems
  • Assist with the setup, imaging, configuration and maintenance of end-user workstations.
  • Communicate errors and issues to the IT Manager
  • Maintain IT asset inventory including the tracking and procurement of IT equipment
  • First and second level user support and troubleshooting
  • Train end users on use of systems and programs
  • Act as subject matter expert on Microsoft Office 365 tools and features
  • Create and maintain a positive working relationship with MasTec corporate IT personnel.
  • Provide documentation for solutions and processes to aid colleagues. 
  • All other duties as assigned by the IT Manager
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Computer related field.
  • Five or more years of construction related experience supporting end user systems.
  • Three or more years of business analyst experience.
